Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Sunday

A fantasized look at some NHL injury news on a Sunday morning.

USA TODAY Sports

Evgeni Malkin suffered some form of UBI last night but it isn't a concussion. He didn't participate in overtime or the shootout but it's unclear if he'll miss any games.

Colin Wilson went awkwardly into the boards and had to be helped off the ice. It did not look good but it certainly appears that he'll be out for at least a couple of games and maybe a lot more than that. More as we get it.

Jamie Benn had to leave the game last night in the third period last night. No word on if he'll miss any time but he's a gamer so I'd bet on him playing.

Brandon Prust hurt his shoulder trying to negate an icing last night and had to leave the game. Initial estimates have him out for 1-2 weeks.

Artem Anisimov sat out yesterday's game and will not play today as he's got an undisclosed injury. It's unclear if this is related to his recent head/neck injury.

Radim Vrbata (LBI) was expected to play last night but ultimately he did not. And so it continues.

Matthew Lombardi has a UBI and is listed as day-to-day. That's about all we know on this one.

Bryce Salvador missed last night's game with a UBI. He's listed as day-to-day for now.

Returning from the injured or otherwise: Cal Clutterbuck, Matt Fratin, Tommy Wingels, Lubomir Visnovsky,
