A fantasized look at the injury news on Monday morning

Elsa

Tyler Ennis got rammed into the boards by Simmonds last night and had to leave the game. It doesn't sound major but you just never know with head injuries.

Devan Dubnyk took some friendly fire as Hartikainen ran into him last night and he left the game with a neck injury. He said afterwards that it was just a stinger and other than a mildly sore neck, he's fine.

Evgeni Malkin missed yesterday's game but the Penguins are saying that's it's not a concussion, I say shoulder after he took a hit from JVR on Saturday night. They say he's expected to miss 1-2 weeks.

No update on Jamie Benn's UBI yet... likely they are monitoring him to see if he has a concussion. Pray for good news.

Mike Richards was banged up after Saturday's game, so the don't be surprised if it's announced that he has an injury. LA Times mentioned his concussion history, not sure if they were trying to imply something.

Curtis Glencross is out with a suspected wrist injury.

Nick Bonino dressed for the Ducks last night but didn't play due to the flu.

The Blues are expecting to get Alexander Steen (shoulder) and Andy McDonald (leg) back at some point this week.

Jordan Leopold (UBI) looked set to return last night as he took the pre-game warm-up but then was scratched, so not sure what that was all about.

Returning to action from the injured list yesterday: Ales Hemsky, Shawn Horcoff, Ryan Wilson & Marcus Johansson.
