A fantasized look at the NHL action from Monday night

Harry How

A pair of A for Jake Muzzin last night and everyone's favourite name is givin 'er lately with 3+3=6 & plus-7 in his last four games. He's really increased his ice-time as the season has gone on, after having played less than 16 minutes in each of his first 10 games this year, he hasn't been under 16 in a game since.

Still with the Kings dmen, Slava Voynov with a PPA last night and he now has 1+7=8 & four PPPs over his last five games. He is charging up the scoring list and sits T-7th amongst dmen.

I knew the Bruins were rolling but didn't realize this... Tuukka Rask got the win last night and is now 13-2-3 on the season with a 1.97 & .927. He sits top 5 in the three major goalie categories.

Freaky... for the third straight game Robin Lehner stopped exactly 33 of 35 shots but took the SOL last night. He has just one win (and three OTLs) in his four games this year but owns a sparkling .947 sv%

Kyle Turris scored for the first time in his last 22 games last night. People were probably thinking that he was due for some better luck but actually his sh% for the season is 8.5%, pretty much identical to his 8.6% career sh%.

Thought I would put this out there while we have some free-time... sure Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been unlucky with just one goal on 53 shots this year but are people in standard leagues really expecting him to be a fantasy stud? In leagues that use PPG or STG over PPPs (as the FHS UDL does) you could make the case that he's a one-category player as he'll only really help your team in assists while being a liability in categories such as PIMs, hits & FO%. Tell me if I'm whacked in the comments.

And just to spice things up on a lite night, Kaspars Daugavins tried this...

Heading North: Andrew Ebbett, Patrick Maroon, Devante Smith-Pelly, Tomas Vincour & Cameron Schilling.

Heading South: Matt Fraser, Jordan Schroeder & David Ullstrom.
