Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Friday

A fantasized look at the injury news on Friday morning

USA TODAY Sports

Bad news for Vincent Lecavalier owners, especially yours truly, as he has been placed on the IR with a suspected knee injury. Tampa isn't releasing many details other than saying that he could be out longer than the one week required... well thanks for that.

Kris Versteeg, we hardly knew you (this year)... his season is done after just 10 games as he'll have knee surgery.

Alexander Sulzer has been shut down for the rest of the season as he'll have knee surgery on his... umm, knee.

In news that can only help your team, Al Montoya aggravated his LBI and couldn't dress last night.

Ed Jovanovski hasn't played since Janvier due to a knee injury but he's making noise about possibly returning on Saturday. If you like old guys that break down a lot then get pumped.

The Sabres are hoping to get both Tyler Ennis (head) and Ville Leino (hip) back for Saturday's game... well moreso Ennis, let's be honest.

Returning to action from the injured list last night: Alexander Steen, Milan Hejduk, Kyle Palmieri, Artem Anisimov, Brenden Morrow, Matthew Lombardi & Kevin Bieksa.
