A fantasized look at Tuesday night's NHL action.

Bruce Bennett

Make it 10 straight games without a regulation loss for Sergei Bobrovsky and this is starting to get absurd. After taking home the win last night, he's 7-0-3, .953 sv%, 1.43 gaa, and 2 shutouts over that streak. And yes, he still plays for the Blue Jackets. Apparently anything John Davidson touches turns to gold. Unreal.

Maybe Jack Johnson wants to be traded? Wouldn't be the craziest desire ever. He had two assists last night and he's been much more productive producing 3+7=10 over his last 14 contests.

Vinny Prospal broke out of a one assist in 6 games slump with a trio of assists last night.

A couple of assists for Shea Weber and he's still rolling with 2+8=10 and 5 PPP over his last 8 games.

Lets go with Sergei Gonchar for the fantasy line of the night. The soon to be 39 year old went 1+2=3, 2 PIM, 2 blocks, and plus-5. This puts an exclamation mark on how hot he's been. He's riding an 8-game point scoring streak with 1+12=13. That's the way to turn the season around when you only have 6 points in your first 19 games.

Three assists for Patrick Wiercioch and maybe you should start looking into him a bit more seriously. Over his last 8 games he has 4+4=8, 25 PIM, 20 shots, and plus-4. That would help any fantasy team.

Guillaume Latendresse has been known to put up points when healthy. Well he's currently healthy and delivered 1+1=2, 2 PIM, and 3 shots last night. Since he returned from injury he's got 2+3=5 over his last 5 games. Certainly he's someone to target in your free agent pool.

Carl Hagelin broke a 9 game goalless drought by scoring last night on 5 shots. It wasn't for lack of trying as he had 30 shots over those 9 games. Call it bad luck.

Sidney Crosby had a couple of assists last night and that puts him at the 50 point mark, 10 ahead of anyone else in the NHL. So, yeah, looks like you should have taken him first overall.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 28 of 29 for the win last night and that makes five straight for him. He's allowed a total of two goals in his last three games.

Steve Ott hadn't scored in 13 games but he put two in the back of the net last night. Over his last 10 games he has 2+7=9, 15 PIM, and a ridiculous 39 hits.

Ville Leino had two assists and played nearly 18 minutes so maybe he still has something to offer us.

Blake Wheeler stayed hot as he scored twice last night. He now has 7 goals in his last 7 games as he continues his metamorphosis into a goal scorer.

Shane Doan had two goals on 11 shots last night and aded 13 hits. I almost had to rethink fantasy line of the night here, but ultimately decided against it. Doan had gone without a point in 3 straight.

It was a 40-save win for Jonathan Bernier over the Coyotes and he's won 7 of his last 8 starts. His season peripherals are still pretty at .923sv% and 1.94 gaa.
