A fantasized look at the injury news on a Saturday morning

USA TODAY Sports

Brandon Dubinsky missed 11 games due a knee injury, returned for four and now has apparently suffered a setback and is out again. He missed last night's game but the team doesn't believe it to be serious. I'd be a little concerned.

David Booth's season is finito after 12 games as he will have surgery on his ankle.

Mark Stuart missed last night's game for the Jets as he was "bagged up"... sorry, "banged up".

This from the Exactly what they needed file... Carolina's Dan Ellis is out for 7-10 days after suffering a cut on his knee. Justin Peters will attempt to carry the load.

James Wisniewski has been out a month due to a broken foot but he will travel with the team and hopes to return during their four game trip.

Thomas Vanek (hip) has recovered from a dead-leg (as the english footy announcers would say) and should be back in the lineup tonight. Ditto Tom Gilbert (LBI).

Neither Evgeni Malkin (shoulder) or Kris Letang (LBI) was able to play last night but both are possibilities to return on Sunday.

Tyler Kennedy couldn't play last night due to an illness and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins could miss his second straight game tonight due to a nasty flu bug. #marchmadness

Al Montoya returned to action last night from the injured list.
