Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Wednesday

A fantasized look at the injury news on Wednesday morning

Justin K. Aller

This one could be bad news... Marc-Andre Fleury was run into by his own teammate and seemed to wrench his neck last night. He finished the 2nd period but had sit out the 3rd. The Penguins said that he'll continue to be evaluated. Could be devastating news for those of you that were counting on him to be your #1 in the fantasy playoffs and a boon for Tomas Vokoun owners.

Thomas Vanek left last night's game early due to a UBI, not sure if it's related to the prior three injuries that have put him on the shelf so far this season... man, he's been taking a beating.

Clarke MacArthur missed last night's game and is day-to-day with a UBI.

Mixed signals here as the Coyotes aren't saying much about Mike Smith's UBI.... we do know that he hasn't been on the ice at all, the team is still calling him day-to-day but they've also put him on the IR.

It's looking as though Marian Hossa (UBI) could be ready to go for the next Game of the Century against the Ducks on Friday.

Evgeni Malkin (shoulder) still couldn't go last night but the Pens did get Kris Letang back after missing three games due to a LBI.

Also returning to action from the injured list last night: Chad LaRose, Ron Hainsey, J.T. Miller, Joe Corvo & Benoit Pouliot.
