A fantasized look at Friday night's NHL action

Steven Stamkos easily nets the fantasy line of the night with 2+1=3, 7 shots, and 2 PIM. He's on a modest 3 game point scoring streak with 4 goals and 2 assists.

Big goal for Alex Killorn as he scored with just 16 seconds left to tie the game. He also added an assist, 2 shots, and plus-2. He's averaged right around 20 minutes over his last 4 games playing on a line with Stammer so he's worth a look in the short term, at least.

Andy Greene scored a powerplay goal and also had an assist, 3 hits, 2 shots, & 2 blocks. He has points in two straight after a pretty awful stretch of just 2 assists in his previous 21 matches.

Two assists for Matt D'Agostini last night and the Devils might be relying on him to add a little scoring with Ilya Kovalchuk sidelined. He played 15:55 and 17:44 the last two games.

Patrick Kane scored the lone goal for the Blackhawks to push his point scoring streak to 8 games. He's at 6+9=15 with 5 PPP and 29 shots for the streak. His name might be in on MVP talks if it wasn't for the existence of Sidney Crosby.

Corey Perry had a goal, 2 PIM, and plus-2 last night. He's been feeling it over his last 4 games, putting up 2+2=4 with a healthy 21 PIM and 16 shots.

It's been a surprisingly productive season from Francois Beauchemin. He had two assists, 2 PIM, 4 hits, 3 shots, 2 blocks, and plus-2 last night. His 21 points is just one shy of last season's total when he played all 82 games.

Jamie Benn scored a powerplay goal on 5 shots and notched a powerplay assist last night. He has 1+9=10 over his last 9 games. Also putting home a powerplay goal and a powerplay assist was Ray Whitney. He has 4+5=9 with 20 shots over his last 8 games.

Cody Eakin continued to impress during his rookie season as he had a powerplay goal and an assist last night. He also added 3 hits and 2 PIM.

Jaromir Jagr is on a 5 game point scoring streak after an assist last night (4+4=8, 15 shots). The assist was the 1,000th of his career so congrats to JJ on the accomplishment.

Also on a 5 game point scoring streak is Jared Spurgeon after he lit the lamp last night. He has 2+4=6, 3 PPP, and plus-6 for the very productive streak.

Matt Hackett made his season debut and it was a bit of a clunker. He allowed 5 goals on 33 shots and took the loss.

How bad is Miikka Kiprusoff this season? He allowed 5 goals in the first two periods before being yanked. He's allowed four or more goals in 5 out of his last 9 starts, he's 1-4-0 in his last 5 starts, and his season stats stand at 6-9-2, .873 sv%, and 3.52 gaa. Is he done?

Artem Anisimov had two assists last night and he's still on fire with 3+4=7 over his last five games.

Breaking a four game pointless streak was Vinny Prospal as he had 1+1=2, 2 shots, and plus-3.

Dennis Wideman scored a powerplay goal and also contributed 4 blocks, 4 shots, and 2 hits. He's got 4 points over his last 4 games.
