A fantasized look at some NHL injury news on a Saturday morning

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Braydon Coburn separated his shoulder on Thursday and he's out indefinitely. I believe these things take around 4 weeks to heal so he's likely done for the season.

Thomas Vanek (muscle strain) is doubtful for tonight but may be able to play tomorrow night.

Paul Martin is suffering from a UBI and it sounds like he will not play this afternoon.

Clarke MacArthur (UBI) traveled with the team to Ottawa but he will not play tonight.

Tomas Vokoun is getting the start this afternoon and it's unclear if Marc-Andre Fleury (neck) will dress as the backup but keep your eye on the situation.

Mike Smith (UBI) didn't travel with the team to San Jose so he will not play today.

Matt Beleskey sat out last night's game with a UBI. He's listed as day-to-day.

Adrian Aucoin sat out last night's game with soreness. He's also listed as day-to-day.

Missing last night's game was Nick Foligno as he's still dealing with the undisclosed injury. Add another one to the day-to-day column.

As Edanger6 pointed out in the comments section yesterday, Johan Franzen suffered a LBI on Thursday night and it sounds like he won't play tomorrow night.

Mikael Samuelsson (finger) has been cleared to play and will return tomorrow night.

Sounds like Brandon Prust (shoulder) will rejoin the lineup tonight to play his former team, the Rangers.
