Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Saturday

A fantasized look at the injury news on Saturday morning

Frederick Breedon

Patric Hornqvist left last night's game (after scoring) in the 2nd period with a UBI after being boarded by Theo Peckham... no word on the severity.

Brenden Morrow had a tweaking in his groin which the Stars are saying is just day-to-day but beware as his injuries can go from morsel to meal pretty quickly.

The good news is that Ales Hemsky's foot is not broken after blocking a shot on Thursday but he couldn't lace them up (literally) last night. Not sure how long it will keep him out.

The Wild placed Darcy Kuemper on the IR with a groin injury, so he's out until next week at least.

Andrej Sekera acquired an undisclosed injury on Thursday and is out for tomorrow's game.

Thomas Greiss picked up a sore neck in his last outing and is out but he plays like once a month as it is so you probably won't notice.

Progress... Alexander Steen (shoulder) is back skating on his own, he has missed the last five games.

Brandon Dubinsky has missed the last nine games with a knee injury but he's getting close and could return during either leg of the CBJs H&H with the Red Wings.

Cal Clutterbuck (thigh) & Tommy Wingels (undisclosed) were both activated off the IR and should play today.

One tough sob here as Brad Richards returned last night just five days after getting pretzeled into the boards by Kaleta. He had a goal & six shots in 18 minutes of ice-time.

Also returning to action from the injured list last night: Marian Hossa, Andrew Shaw, Erik Johnson & Kris Versteeg.
