Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Wednesday

A fantasized look at some NHL injury news on a Wednesday morning.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Patrice Bergeron took an elbow to the head and was forced to leave the game last night. There's no word today on his status but the obvious concern here is concussion. Bergeron has been a real fantasy asset this season so this would really be a shame. Hope for the best.

Coach Pete DeBoer said of Ilya Kovalchuk that he will not be back "in the near future" so that doesn't sound good for those of us hoping he can help us for the stretch run.

Brandon Dubinsky (knee) is expected to lace them up and be in the lineup for the BJs tonight.

An x-ray revealed that Ryan Kesler's fractured foot is fully healed so I don't see why he wouldn't be in the lineup tomorrow night.

Nik Antropov suffered a LBI last night and left the game without returning. No details are available yet.

Joni Pitkanen came out of last night's contest after suffering what looked like a leg injury. There's no update today so consider him day-to-day for now.

Dustin Penner missed last night's game and was place on the IR by the Kings with a LBI.

Matt Cullen (LBI) did not travel with the Wild on their road trip so he won't be in the lineup tonight or tomorrow night.

Shot blocking machine, Nicklas Grossman is dealing with a UBI and it sounds like he will not play tonight.
