Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Friday

A fantasized look at some NHL injury news on a Friday morning.

Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

I smell concussion as Nail Yakupov was driven hard into the boards by Matt Cooke last night and had to leave the game. We'll wait for the Oilers to announce his status but it didn't look good.

Chris Neil missed last night's game with a lower body injury. Consider him day-to-day until we know more.

Brent Seabrook missed practice yesterday due to a case of the sniffles so he's questionable to suit up tonight.

Another guy calling in sick to practice yesterday was Fedor Tyutin and we'll give him a 50/50 chance to play tonight as well.

A couple of top players in Pavel Datsyuk (groin) and Evander Kane (hand) were placed on injured reserve after missing some games. At least you can temporarily replace them in Yahoo leagues.

Martin Havlat (LBI) was taken off of injured reserve by the Sharks yesterday but he did not play in their game.

Mike Santorelli was involved in a collision in yesterday's tilt and the end result was him leaving the arena with his arm in a sling. No word on a timetable.
