A quick look at NHL injury news on Thursday morning

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

Jakub Voracek benefited from the snowstorm that delayed last nights game a day.  He was supposed to sit things out but an extra 24 hours of healing time made enough of a difference for him to suit up.  He finished with an assist in over 20 minutes of action.  He said he was still a bit sore but he looks good to start going forward.

Zach Parise has a "50-50" shot of playing on Thursday.  If you have a good alternative, you might want to give Zach one more day on the bench...  otherwise: roll the dice.

Martin Hanzal missed his second straight game with a LBI.  He was questionable for last night so it doesn't sound like this is a major issue.

Jonas Gustavsson returned and made 31 saves against Chicago last night. Jimmy Howard is going to be out about a week, so he makes a decent start for the next 7 days or so.

Jonathan Ericsson also returned last night... although he really only one for very, very deep leagues. He's been out since Christmas.

Pavel Datsyuk has begun to skate again.  No timetable yet, but the progress is nice.

Tomas Vokoun skated on his own yesterday.  He's still far away from returning but it's a nice start in his return from the blood clots in his pelvis.
