Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Friday

A fantasized look at some NHL injury news on a Friday morning.

USA TODAY Sports

Ben Bishop took a knee to the head last night and had to come out of the game. The immediate concern was that it was a concussion but he has passed a concussion test already so he should not be out long.

Kris Letang was a late scratch from last night's game. We found out today that it was due to illness so that's a good thing.

Paul Stastny left last night's game with an ankle injury that has the chance to be serious, as many are saying. That would be a shame as it's been a comeback year for Stastny.

Mike Green went down awkwardly against the boards last night and had to leave the game. It looks like he could have hit his head but no official word has been given.

Not a lot of news on Shea Weber's UBI or whether he will give it a go tonight against the Devils. We should know something by this afternoon.

Cam Ward (LBI) was activated from injured reserve but was sent to the AHL for conditioning. He'll undoubtedly eat into Anton Khudobin's playing time upon his return even if it is a travesty.

Matt Moulson got "whacked pretty good" by Shane Doan and had to leave the game with what's being called an undisclosed injury. More in tomorrow's updates.

Nick Bonino suffered an upper body injury and was forced from the game last night. He's considered day-to-day and is expected to play again before February 9th.
