Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Saturday

A fantasized look at the NHL injury news on Saturday morning

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

Will we ever learn?... Shea Weber was questionable for last night's game after suffering a UBI on Tuesday but never question this guy as all he did was play 25 minutes and score twice, including the GWG.

Ben Bishop (head) did practice yesterday but I would bet he doesn't start today as the Bolts called up two goalies just in case.  Doesn't sound like Bishop will be out long.  The same cannot be said for the other TBL goalie as Anders Lindback sprained his ankle and will be out until after the Olympic break.

My least favourite name to spell, Valtteri Filppula, is also questionable for today's game after leaving Thursday's with a hip/leg injury.  He shouldn't be out long but then again, what does it matter, John Cooper will just plug in some rookie and keep the good times rolling!

Uh-oh... no Mike Green for the Caps last night, he's out with a concussion after a Boone Jenner check on Thursday night.  This guy is a bad luck magnet... umm, if luck was magnetized.... umm, you know what I mean.

Matt Moulson will spend the the next few weeks rehabbing most of his body after being given a rough ride by Shane Doan on Thursday.  Officially it's listed as a UBI but you could probably go with FBI (full-body injury) on this one.

One of my favourite breakout players this year, Nick Bonino, is out with a UBI.  He's listed as day-to-day but we haven't been given much information on his status.

Kris Letang was out Thursday with "sickness" and he is doubtful for tonight's game as well.

Mike Cammalleri (concussion) should return tonight for the Flames.  Ales Hemsky (ankle) could return for the Oilers. Everyone in Alberta can rejoice!

Pavel Datsyuk (groin) sounds like he's getting close after practicing on Thursday, shouldn't be much longer now.

Returning to action from the injured list last night:  Henrik Zetterberg & Jimmy Howard.
