Sundays Highlights
Bruins 3 - Rangers 6
Henrik Lundqvist continued to struggle, giving up 6 goals to the Bruins. Expect Talbot to get a start soon. Tuukka Rask made 39 saves in the game and Dougie Hamilton led the Bruins with a goal and 2 assists.

Senators 4 - Canucks 2
The Senators won a strange Heritage Classic. Although they were the visiting team, there were many cheers of "Luuuu!" throughout the night as Canuck fans showed their support for Roberto Luongo who had been benched in favor of Eddie Lack. Will this be the year Luongo is finally traded out of Vancouver? Daniel Sedin injured his leg in this game, but no word on the severity.

Flyers 5 - Capitals 4
Mike Green looked more like the old Mike Green, with 3 assists and a +3. Claude Giroux also had a three point night with 2 goals and one helper.

Sharks 4 - Devils 2
Adam Henrique remains a great sleeper pickup, putting up 1 goal and 1 assist in the loss. Patrick Marleau also have a goal and an assist for the Sharks.

Panthers 5 - Islanders 3
The Islanders lost to their former no-show goalie Tim Thomas. Scottie Upshall and Shawn Matthias each had a pair of goals for the Panthers. Ryan Strome finally scored giving some hope to desperate Tavares owners that he will provide some offense.

Lightning 3 - Avalanche 6
The Avs had 4 goals from their blueliners, including two from Nick Holden. Ryan O'Reilly had a goal and assist while Nate Thompson led the Lightning with two goals.

Blues 4 - Coyotes 2
Ryan Miller got the win in his first game with the Blues. Those who were patient with Miller are going to see a nice boost for the FHL playoffs. Patrick Berglund had two goals in the win.

Hurricanes 3 - Ducks 5
Corey Perry had a big night, scoring 2 goals and adding an assist in the win.

The Big Story
This week all eyes will be on the trade deadline. The rumors have been flying as soon as the Olympics were over and this year we could see several big names moved.

Ryan Callahan - The Rangers and their captain can't reach an agreement on a contract making a trade seem more and more likely. Normally the playoff bound team trades FOR a rental player so I'm not sure what the Rangers can expect to get in return that will make them better this season.

Martin St. Louis - Wild speculation became more certain last week when St Louis admitted he talked to the Lightning about his future with the team and did not deny he has asked for a trade. While I would love to see a Callahan for St Louis trade, deals like this only occur in our fantasy leagues and rarely in the real world.

Buffalo Sabres - They dealt Miller, but are they done? The team seems to be such a mess that Pat LaFontaine walked away after only a few months. I expect them to trade anyone they can to lighten their salary and stockpile picks and prospects. Moulson is in play, but don't be surprised if they flip Halak.

Tomas Vaneck - Garth Snow MUST move Vanek to get some value for the first rounders he traded away.

Ryan Kesler - The Canucks have been shopping him around, but that may change if Daniel Sedin's injury is serious

Andrew MacDonald - He's having a career year and the Islanders will be looking to get something for him before he walks.

Marian Gaborik - He's healthy just in time to be traded to someone else and immediately get injured.

Mike Cammalleri - It's that time of year. The Flames make their annual trade to an East coast team to continue their rebuilding efforts. Iginla says hi.

Martin Brodeur - What? No way the Devils trade their franchise player and I don't see any playoff teams hanging their hopes on a 41 year old goalie.

Looking Ahead

The trade deadline is Wednesday at 3pm EST. I expect most teams to wait for the last minute to get the best deal. I'll be pretending to work all day, while secretly checking my phone for trade news.

This Week's Tips

I've been hyping defenseman Eric Gelinas for weeks and he's back. After spending the Olympic break in the AHL, Gelinas returned to the Devils and has put up 4 points (3 PPP) in 3 games, Gelinas is going to be scooped up quickly. Grab him for your playoff run.

Also check your waiver wire for Erik Johnson. The Colorado defenseman was suspended just prior to the Olympics which led to many impatient owners dropping him when they saw the NA next to his name. Johnson returned on Sunday with 8th goal.

Try and use your adds now. For the final week of the FHL season, try and save some adds for Sunday to give you the guys you need for the first round of the playoffs. There are always guys on the waiver wire who will contribute to hits and shots, just look for the ones with a 4 game week.
