Monday's Daily Dosage

A fantasized look at Sundays games

Gustav Nyquist remains red hot and not even 2/3 owned.

Bruins 4 - Flyers 3
Tuuka Rask made 49 saves to finish off their March with a 15-1-1 record. Vincent Lecalvier scored 2 goals, including the 400th of his career, in the losing effort for the Flyers. Reilly Smith scored the shootout winner for the Bruins. Keep an eye open for the Bruins to begin resting players from here on out.

Flames 3 - Senators 6
The Sens doubled up on the Flames, with two goal games from Milan Michalek and Kyle Turris. Robin Lehner made 37 saves in the win. Karri Ramo took the loss for the Flames. After a recent losing stretch that dropped the Senators from playoff contention, they've gotten hot and will have 4 games this week. Check out their players if you want to maximize your player starts this week.

Lightning 2 - Red Wings 3
Gustav Nyquist scored his 11th goal in 9 game to help the Red Wings win an important game against the Lightning. What amazes me is that Nyquist is still only 62% owned in Yahoo leagues. This tells me that 38% of Yahoo leagues are either on autopilot or full of idiots. Darren Helm and David Legwand rounded out the scoring for the Red Wings. Gustavsson returned for his first game in 3 weeks to earn the win on 26 saves. Jimmy Howard owners should be worried (or making a switch). Valtteri Filppula and Samy Salo had the goals for Tampa Bay.

Blackhawks 1 - Penguins 4
Sidney Crosby picked up two goals to lead the Penguins to a 4-1 win over the Blackhawks. Marc-Andre Fleury had 25 saves and Lee Stempniak continued to enjoy life as a Penguin by scoring the game winner. James Neal had the Penguins other goal and Sheldon Brookbank scored the only goal for Chicago. The Blackhawks also had a scare when Jonathan Toews left early following a hit from Brooks Orpik. Early reports are an arm injury, but it is not thought to be severe.

Capitals 3 - Predators 4
Patric Hornqvist scored 2 goals to lead Nashvile to a 4-3 shootout win over the Predators. Shea Weber scored the other goal and added an assist. Troy Brouwer had 2 goals for the Capitals. Carter Hutton made 23 saves for the win and Jaroslav Halak had 26 saves for Washington.

Rangers 5 - Oilers 0
The Rangers enjoyed a Sunday evening romp, defeating the Oilers 5-0 in Edmonton. Rick Nash and Mats Zuccarello had a pair of goals each while Cam Talbot made 26 saves for the shutout. After a sloppy game in Calgary 2 nights earlier, the Rangers came out and played strong at both ends of the ice. Derick Brassard had the other goal for the Rangers and Derek Stepan picked up three assists. David Perron was the goat of the night, leading with a team worst -3.

Looking Ahead
If you're lucky enough to have advanced to the finals of your fantasy league, now is the time to micro-manage. Use the Opponents tab in Yahoo to see how many games each player has this week and take advantage of free agents from teams like Ottawa. This page will show you how many games each team plays and versus whom. If you can, drop a 2 game player and pickup a 4 gamer. It can make the difference.
