Fantasy Hockey Injury News from Friday

There are very few injuries to report, especially those which are fantasy relevant. Let's hope the league continues to stay healthy as the fantasy season comes to an end.

Dennis Wideman - The offensive specialist on the Calgary Flames will be questionable for today's game against the Vancouver Canucks due to an upper body injury. He should not be one of the main blueliners on your team, so hopefully you have a viable back up if you own  him.

Jiri Hudler - Another productive fantasy player, at least for the Calgary Flames, Hudler is also suffering from an upper body injury and is listed as questionable against the Canucks. It would be quite surprising if he made an appearance tonight.

Viktor Fasth - The long time injured, recently traded, goaltender of the Edmonton Oilers is finally ready to back up Ben Scrivens in net. He was sidelined with a a lower body injury for quite some time but is listed as probable against the Los Angeles Kings.

Clarke MacArthur - It was reported that MacArthur would miss at least one week of games due to a hand injury. Stay tuned to find out his progress over the next five to seven days. If you can find a replacement for the remainder of the week, feel free to do so.

Ray Emery - The number two goalie in Philadelphia will miss their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs due to a lower body injury. He has faded into the background with Steve Mason's strong play, so unless Mason were to get injured, Emery's fantasy relevance will continue to diminish.

Martin Hanzal - One of the most all-around players in the NHL, Hanzal is listed as doubtful against the Washington Capitals due to a lower body injury. He is a difficult player to replace so try your best with what you have and hope for a speedy recovery.

Radko Gudas - Gudas is another all-around fantasy player in the making but will miss Tampa Bay's game against the Boston Bruins. He has been diagnosed with a leg injury and his return is unknown. Hold onto to him for the time being and hope that the injury is nothing serious.

David Clarkson - One of the bigger disappointments for both the Toronto Maple Leafs and fantasy owners, Clarkson is listed as doubtful against the Philadelphia Flyers due to a leg injury. It is hard to be dealing with his lack of production, but his complete absence from hockey is surely worse. If you require his services, stick with him and hope for the best.

Dion Phaneuf - An important player for fantasy owners, Phaneuf is questionable against the Flyers due to an undisclosed injury. Once reports become available, the seriousness of his injury will be more conclusive. For now, keep him out of your lineup and find a replacement.

Brooks Laich - Laich and the Washington Capitals will be enjoying some fresh faces in the lineup, including highly-anticipated rookie Evgeny Kuznetsov. Sadly, Laich is listed as doubtful against the Phoenix Coyotes and will likely be in the press box due to a strained groin. Hopefully it is nothing too serious and he gets back into the lineup soon.
